Project Linkages is a community innovation competition that encourages youngsters to tap the wisdom of elder citizens and share them creatively and compellingly. To facilitate better entries for the competition we are conducting a workshop on creative storytelling and filmmaking in collaboration with Multimedia University, Faculty of Creative Multimedia (FCM), and Creative Multimedia Club (CMC), Cyberjaya. Date: 23 and 24 March 2013, at FCM, R0001.

Key facilitators are En Mohamad Nizal, Producer, Anchor and Trainer & Motivator (Former TV3 Personality) and Mr Gary Chong, accomplished Filmmaker. The workshop is designed to allow participants discover and enhance their communication and presentation skills.

This workshop aims to propagate the objectives of the Malaysian Association of Creativity & Innovation (MACRI) in promoting the culture of creativity, and in particular to complement ‘Project Linkages – connecting past to future. It is supported and sponsored by the Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation (MOSTI); Yayasan Inovasi Malaysia (YIM); Jabatan Perpaduan Negara & Integrasi National and Malaysia Communications & Multimedia Commissions (MCMC)

Workshop Objectives:

To appreciate the relevance of indigenous knowledge and significance of sharing.
To impart better skills and strategies for storytelling and film-making.
To use Project Linkages as a platform to practice storytelling and film-making.
