A group of 11 students and another 2 recent graduates from the Advertising Design programme of Faculty of Creative Multimedia was awarded first, second and ‘Best Presentation’ award at Ad Unplugged 2013.
The winning idea, “The Bloody Campus Challenge” was created by a group of combined students from MMU, IACT, Sunway University and KDU. The second spot was secured by a group from MMU with their idea “Blooderhood”. This group also bagged the ‘Best Presentation’ award, which was never awarded before in Ad Unplugged history. Mentored by Mdm Syarifah Nurleyana Wafa in the final stage, the group was commended by the judges on their excellent presentation skills in delivering their ideas to the judges.
The final round of Ad Unplugged 2013 which was held on 22 November at 95% The Advertising Academy saw 4 finalists compete in presenting their ideas to a panel of CEOs and Managing Directors of top advertising agencies in Malaysia. The programme, organized by the Association of Accredited Advertising Agents (4As) Malaysia is held annually to find the greatest creative minds in advertising among the university students in Malaysia. This year saw a total of 400 participants from various universities, with the brief to create a blood donation campaign.
The winning idea will stand a chance to be realised nationwide and the participants will also have the opportunity to be part of the executing team, assisting the advertising agency that heads the project.
