Two students from the Interface Design (ID) programme won first prize at the recent Microsoft Malaysia Innovate for Good event at KLCC.
Working in teams, the two students, namely Nur Diana Natasya Maarof and Tengku Aisyah Zaharah Tengku Anuar Mussaddad, won first prize in the Microsoft YouthSpark program under the category called “Volunteerism”. Pitching against 90 over participants nationwide, these ID students’ team took the lead in their presentation and ideas.
Microsoft Innovate for Good, a Microsoft YouthSpark program, is a global community enabling youth to collaborate, inspire and support each other while using technology to make a difference in their communities. Innovate for Good brings together youth from around the world in local events and in a global online community to provide support for their ideas on making a difference. The event held at Microsoft Malaysia’s HQ in KLCC was also attended by Microsoft Malaysia Managing Director Carlos Lacerda, the Minister of Youth and Sports Khairy Jamaluddin, the Secretary-General of Malaysia’s Ministry of Finance Tan Sri Dr Mohd Irwan Serigar Abdullah, and the US Secretary of State’s Special Advisor on Global Youth Issues Mdm Zeenat Rehman.
