Asian Network of Technology-Art Research & Aesthetics (ANTARA) 2014 or ANTARA 2014 was a Cultural Exchange Media Arts Exhibition between Malaysia and Korea. The exhibition theme was ‘Transcoding Multi-Cultures’ as the Faculty of Creative Multimedia worked in collaboration with our academic counterparts from the Korean Society of Media & Arts (KOSMA). The purpose of this event was to showcase the different cultures from Malaysia, South Korea and South East Asia through media arts. The focus was to share knowledge and experience via technology and expressions. The media artwork was first displayed in Seoul National University, South Korea, followed by both an indoor exhibition at the White Box in Publika and an outdoor exhibition at the Menara TM’s LED-based building. These avenues allowed the works from these media artists to be shown on a larger scale to the public promoting awareness on technology-based expressions and installations to the Malaysian public.
