Two senior lecturers from FCM have been invited by the National Visual Arts Development Board to showcase their artwork at Kuala Lumpur Biennial (KL Biennale) 2017 – a mega-scale international contemporary art programme held at the National Arts Gallery of Malaysia that serves as a benchmark for the nation’s arts and culture.
Dr. Lim Kok Yoong is showing his interactive media artwork titled: OpsCassava 4.0 which examines our cultural identity through the symbolic food/ plant – Cassava or Ubi Kayu. This work asks how we can use this symbolic food as a tool for rethinking our past, present, and future in this beloved country.
Ms. Mastura Binti Abdul Rahman is showing her Acrylic and Collage on Canvas titled ‘Di Bawah Pohon Rambutan’.
KLBiennale 2017 exhibition is running until the end of March 2018 and the admission is free.
