Meet Hilma Namupala, our Bachelor of Multimedia (hons) Advertising Design graduate class of 2018. Hilma is a proud girl’s empowerment advocate. She is presently working as a Community Care Worker in Namibia, where she focuses on empowering young girls (aged 10- 24) in combating HIV infection and steering them towards a future of economic independence. On top of that, she is also in the stages of writing her own book entitled “Advice to 18-Year-Old Me”, a book dedicated for young girls. In the meantime, she shares her thoughts on topics related to girls on her own YouTube channel. Over the years, Hilma has been involved in several other professions such as volunteering as a teacher in a Kids’ Church in the year 2016, as well as worked as a customer service specialist and Head of Operations for Hefani Tourism Group before landing her latest designation at Jhpiego.
