The 4th International InventX Creative Exhibition 2026 invites artists, designers, photographers, illustrators, filmmakers, and creative practitioners to submit artworks that explore the evolving relationship between Artificial Intelligence and human creativity.
Under the theme “Tap-AI: Extension or Extinction – Crossing Boundaries, Opening Up Possibilities”, this exhibition examines how AI technologies are transforming creative practices, artistic identity, and the future of human expression. Artists are encouraged to critically reflect on whether AI functions as an extension of human creativity, enhancing artistic potential, or whether it signals a possible extinction of traditional creative authorship.
InventX Creative 2026 provides a platform for creators to experiment, challenge boundaries, and imagine new possibilities where art, technology, and human imagination intersect.
THEME
Artificial Intelligence is rapidly transforming creative industries from visual arts and design to film, music, and storytelling. While AI offers new tools and efficiencies, it also raises critical questions about creativity, authorship, ethics, and identity.
The TAP-AI theme invites artists to explore three key ideas:
Extension
AI as a collaborator that expands human creativity and imagination.
Extinction
The tension between automation and human originality in creative practice.
Possibilities
New frontiers where human and machine intelligence co-create innovative artistic expressions

Digital Motion Works
This category highlights time-based digital artworks that incorporate movement, animation, or experimental visual narratives. All motion-based submissions must not exceed 30 seconds in duration.

Submissions are open to:
- Professional artists
- Designers and creative practitioners
- Researchers and academics
- Undergraduate and postgraduate students
- Emerging creative talents
Two participation categories:
- Open Category
- Student Category (Higher Institutions)
AI Usage Declaration
Artworks using AI tools are welcome. Artists must declare:
- The AI platform used (e.g., Midjourney, Stable Diffusion, Runway)
- The extent of AI involvement
- The artist’s conceptual and creative contribution
Priority will be given to works demonstrating clear artistic direction and meaningful creative authorship

How to Submit
Selected artist statements will be invited to present at NextSymp 2026 in September 2026 and will be considered for publication in the International Journal of Creative Multimedia (IJCM) Special Issue.
InventX Creative Exhibition serves as a platform where selected artworks transition from exhibition to scholarly discourse.
How to Submit
Selection Process
All submissions will be reviewed by a panel of curators and industry professionals.
Please note that artworks containing elements related to 3R (Race, Religion, and Royalty) that may be considered sensitive or inappropriate will not be accepted and will be automatically rejected.
Selected artists will be notified via email and provided with further instructions for exhibition preparation.
The curatorial team reserves the right to decline works that do not meet the technical requirements or exhibition guidelines.

Digital Still Works (Print Display)
Files must meet high-resolution requirements for large-format printing.
Specifications:

Digital Motion Works
Time-based digital artworks.

A panel of curators and art professionals will evaluate submissions based on:
