Talk by our beloved Encik Tajalli Abdullah on Tuesday 25th March 2014 at 11am at the e-Theatre. He shall be sharing with us his experience and his take of the creative realm, apart from his current dream come true ‘Tree House, Langkawi’. Later in the day at 3pm at the Gallery, you are also warmly invited to join in the Launch of Alpha Week as well as enjoy the Exhibition by students of Foundation Studies, FCM (Gallery, Room 001 &
Room 002 Mini Gallery). Creative Drawing Workshop will take place on Thursday 27th March 2014 from 9-5pm at the Drawing Studio 4004, and the week finishes off with another Talk by our Invited Speaker,ex-student Shamsul Nashriq from MotioFixo at the FCM Meeting Room (big) on 27th March 2014 at 2-4pm.

On the 28th of February, FCM launched our FCM Degree Show 2014 (Creative Multimedia Showcase) but only this time it was held off campus at eCurve Damansara! This is the first time we’ve brought our showcase off campus and the showcase that was held over a period of 3 days was a great success.
The showcase was launched by MMU’s President Prof. Dato’ Dr. Muhamad Rasat Muhamad and was attended by final year students, current students, alumni, external examiners, and staff. The showcase displayed an array of creative works done by our final year students from all majors and attracted the attention of industry headhunters and industry leaders. The degree show successfully captivated the public and helped raise awareness of the programs we have to offer.

none other than our President, Professor Dato Muhammad Rasat who will be
launching the event.

This is the first time the entire Degree Show or Portfolio show will be
outside of the e-Gallery and FCM. Therefore, we would like to see ALL of you there during the launching!
Of course, you are welcome to come back with your family, friends and with potential students during the weekend as this event will run till March 2nd 2014.

FCM Degree Show
Multimedia University and Inje University Korea signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) for continuing another round of collaboration between the Faculty of Creative Multimedia (FCM) and The Graduate School of Visual Design from Inje University.
The MOU and its ceremony was held on 17 December, 2013, 3pm held at Academic Chamber at MMU, signifies the commitment of both parties to further establish the relationship between the two universities. The ceremony was honoured by the President of MMU, Prof Rasat, Vice President of Research & Development, Prof Heng Swee Huay, the representatives from the faculty was Deputy Dean Dr Koo Ah Choo, the coordinator of student exchange workshop, Mr Fauzan Mustaffa, and other members from the faculty and university research and international division The Inje University was represented by Professor Park Hey Kyung, Dean of U-Design Graduate School, Professor Paik Jin Kyung, Chief of DID Institute.
Eight graduate students from U-Design Graduate School together with their eight counterparts of graduate students from the faculty joined the workshop. The workshop was held from 16 December until 3 January 2013.
The content of the workshop was shaped within several contexts of the joint workshop which were: i) interdisciplinary input, ii) Cultural context, iii) Art therapy.
Batik was selected based on common culture between Korea and Malaysia and the potential of it being repurposed to the context of ‘Art Therapy’. Malaysian Psychotherapy Association was contacted to assist in giving input on Art Therapy. A batik workshop at Kraftangan Malaysia consists of a 2-day workshop and manual artwork creation. These artworks were scanned for further digital artwork creation.
