Meet Ahmad Sufian bin Mazilan better known as Suf Bansen. Graduated with a Bachelor of Multimedia (Hons) in Animation & Visual Effects class of 2018, Mr. Sufian is currently busy multitasking at its finest. He is a VFX Artist at Todak Culture, a Voice Actor (ex: in Dragon Lancer as Yuu and Ejen Ali the Movie as Ejen Bobby), as well as a Toy Designer of his own individual character called Buttman. Pretty impressive! His voice acting career started since his student days but, his career as a toy designer only jump started a few years ago, when he started dabbling in toy designing due to his immense interest in toys. With the help of his IP Buttman – an alien character from Uranus – he managed to create a line of merchandise to be sold at events and even collaborated with the local artist of renowned “Gempak” comic, Michael Chuah. Currently, a toy based on Buttman is in working progress.

Meet Dion Chua Lok Yan, Lee Shey Lin and Puteri Sabrina binti Affenddy. FCM alumni that graduated with a Bachelor of Multimedia (Hons) in Animation and Visual Effects class of 2018. These ladies were the back-bone for their successful start-up under the EDC program in MMU back in 2017. From there, they started their own company, Poggo Animation Sdn. Bhd. under the mentorship of Juhaidah Joemin, CEO of Giggle Garage. The trio also managed to further develop their final year project into the current intellectual property they have now, known as Poggo Cat! They specialise in the creation of 3D contents and are recently, venturing into the usage of real-time rendering with Unreal Engine. Currently, Poggo Animation are looking for investors and broadcasters for Poggo Cat! In the meantime, they do offer 3D production services and are also open for 2D designing services as well. Feel free to contact them if interested.

Meet Ahmad Syawal Mohd Lajis and Nooruwaida Idros, the power couple that both obtained a degree in Creative Multimedia / Digital Media from MMU, Cyberjaya in 2008.

Started out as a multimedia designer, Mr. Ahmad Syawal finds himself interested in the rigorous and effective approach of visual communication and design. After his job as a multimedia designer, his journey continued to becoming a creative executive and an academician. As of now, he is an academic lecturer in University of Wollongong in Malaysia / KDU University College.

Mdm. Nooruwaida on the other hand, started off her career as a SAP Transport Specialist, Basis Administrator and a Security Analyst, before being designated to her current job as a SAP Technology Consultant at Orsted – a company that is ranked as the most sustainable company in the world.

Meet Wan Affendy Abdullah, a Bachelor of Multimedia (Hons) in Film and Animation graduate class of 2009, who is currently working as a Creative Director at Bolt Studio Sdn. Bhd. He was so inspired by the magic of the silver screen that upon completion of his foundation year in MMU, he chose Film & Animation as his major, specializing in Visual Effects. He has won several awards during his studies including Best Visual Effects in the Astro Next-Gen Contentpreneur Award. Throughout his journey in the film-making industry, not only has he produced films and telemovies for both local and international production, but he also likes to share his valuable knowledge and experience with the students by being a guest lecturer and industrial mentor at his alma-mater. FCM would like to wish good luck to Mr. Wan Affendy & Bolt Studio team and may they continue to produce more amazing films and telemovies in the future!

Meet Wong Jin Yao & Woon Chee Khai, our alumni who graduated with a Bachelor of Multimedia (Hons) in Animation & Visual Effects class of 2016. They are the founders of Yore Productions, a fresh Malaysian 3DCG production house that specialises in hybrid visual blending, a technique that combines 2D and 3D art styles. Mr. Jin Yao is the Head of Look Development while Mr. Chee Khai is the Post Production Supervisor. Both of them were in the team that produced the award-winning short animation film, “The Cliff House” back in 2017. Following the success of their short, they are now working on “Dreamcatcher”, the first Malaysian 3D anime idol project which features Penang as the home ground of the story. The plot revolves around the journey of 7 high school girls who became idols in order to save their neighborhood from being demolished. As a result of collaborating with Shochiku Geino Seiyuu Academy, Japan, the project also features 6 voice acting students from the academy to voice out the characters in Dreamcatcher. Good luck on your project and we are looking forward to the release of Dreamcatcher!

Meet Ts. Siti Noraisyah Abd. Rahman, the Deputy Dean and Head of Digital Games Art Programme at National Academy of Arts, Culture & Heritage (ASWARA). She graduated class of 2011 with a Bachelor of Multimedia (Hons) in Digital Media and later pursued for her Masters of Multimedia in e-Learning Technologies in the year 2014 also at Multimedia University. Ms. Aisyah, an expert on new media art, is mostly interested in game-based learning, human interaction, mixed reality and cultural identity. Her recent publications include “Cultural Heritage Storytelling on Virtual Reality Framework”, 2019 and “Unreal Heritage: Virtual Reality Masterclass Development” (ISBN 978-983-2538-45-5 – hardback), 2019. All the best to Ms. Aisyah and may she continue to make us proud!

Meet Razlan Bin Mohamed Hanafiah, our alumni who graduated with Bachelor of Multimedia (Hons) in Media Innovation class of 2010. He is a designer that specialises in UX/UI and brand identity design. With a goal-oriented vision and data-driven focus, he considers himself a user champion who advocates honest and intuitive design. He co-founded Projectile, a UX focused collaborative company that crafts user-centric digital experience for start-ups and well-established enterprises from around the world. Prior to running Projectile, he has been raising his game in designing for advertising and digital design agencies, local and international start-ups, a multi-national software enterprise, a government agency, and an award-winning airline company. Meet E Wen Pin, class of 2017, graduated with a Bachelor of Multimedia (Hons) in Animation and Visual Effects. Currently working as a Visual Effects Compositor at TAU Films, Mr. Wen Pin was involved in various productions such as the “Crazy Alien”, a 2019 Chinese science-fiction comedy film directed by Ning Hao and “Primal”, a 2019 action-thriller film directed by Nick Powell and starring Nicolas Cage. His strength revolves around anything related to compositing, which includes roto scoping, roto painting, 3D integration, 2D elements and matte paint. Apart from that, he is also passionate in 3D modelling, sculpting and texturing. We at FCM wishes him a very good luck for all of his future endeavor’s!

Meet Ikhwan Nazri bin Mohd Asran, who graduated with a Bachelor of Multimedia (Hons) in Digital Media class of 2007. Mr. Ikhwan who was born and raised in Kuala Lumpur is definitely not a new face to the IT and Technology industry. As the CEO & Head of Amanz Media since 2011, his role is to oversee the creative productions as well as business operations of the company. Under his direction, Amanz Media has managed to build their online presence through www.amanz.my by providing news source for IT & Technology in Bahasa Melayu with over than 4.7 million pageviews per month (as of May 2020). Also an expert in digital media, Mr. Ikhwan was listed in Agensi Inovasi Malaysia for his creations such as the Officekami, a project that listed popular co-working spaces in Malaysia along with being a multidisciplinary producer. Aside from all of his amazing accomplishments, he seems to have a passion on matters related to games, start-ups, coffees and cats.

Meet Muhaimin bin Mahzan, our alumni who graduated with a Bachelor of Multimedia (Hons) in Virtual Reality class of 2017. Currently working at Todak Studios Sdn. Bhd. as Head of Level Design department, he is responsible in overseeing the overall process of designing and creating 3D environment for game’s level or maps. His recent works includes creating 3D environment for a game called “To-gather Island” (2019) – a collaboration between Todak Studios and Studio Kamii. His strong passion in gaming is what made him interested to further his studies in FCM, majoring in Virtual Reality. Now, he is one of Malaysia’s key players in the game development industry. All the best to Muhaimin and may he continue to produce more amazing games in the future!
