Meet Wong Jin Yao & Woon Chee Khai, our alumni who graduated with a Bachelor of Multimedia (Hons) in Animation & Visual Effects class of 2016. They are the founders of Yore Productions, a fresh Malaysian 3DCG production house that specialises in hybrid visual blending, a technique that combines 2D and 3D art styles. Mr. Jin Yao is the Head of Look Development while Mr. Chee Khai is the Post Production Supervisor. Both of them were in the team that produced the award-winning short animation film, “The Cliff House” back in 2017. Following the success of their short, they are now working on “Dreamcatcher”, the first Malaysian 3D anime idol project which features Penang as the home ground of the story. The plot revolves around the journey of 7 high school girls who became idols in order to save their neighborhood from being demolished. As a result of collaborating with Shochiku Geino Seiyuu Academy, Japan, the project also features 6 voice acting students from the academy to voice out the characters in Dreamcatcher. Good luck on your project and we are looking forward to the release of Dreamcatcher!

Meet Ts. Siti Noraisyah Abd. Rahman, the Deputy Dean and Head of Digital Games Art Programme at National Academy of Arts, Culture & Heritage (ASWARA). She graduated class of 2011 with a Bachelor of Multimedia (Hons) in Digital Media and later pursued for her Masters of Multimedia in e-Learning Technologies in the year 2014 also at Multimedia University. Ms. Aisyah, an expert on new media art, is mostly interested in game-based learning, human interaction, mixed reality and cultural identity. Her recent publications include “Cultural Heritage Storytelling on Virtual Reality Framework”, 2019 and “Unreal Heritage: Virtual Reality Masterclass Development” (ISBN 978-983-2538-45-5 – hardback), 2019. All the best to Ms. Aisyah and may she continue to make us proud!

Meet Razlan Bin Mohamed Hanafiah, our alumni who graduated with Bachelor of Multimedia (Hons) in Media Innovation class of 2010. He is a designer that specialises in UX/UI and brand identity design. With a goal-oriented vision and data-driven focus, he considers himself a user champion who advocates honest and intuitive design. He co-founded Projectile, a UX focused collaborative company that crafts user-centric digital experience for start-ups and well-established enterprises from around the world. Prior to running Projectile, he has been raising his game in designing for advertising and digital design agencies, local and international start-ups, a multi-national software enterprise, a government agency, and an award-winning airline company. Best of luck to Mr. Razlan Hanafiah, and continue to make us proud!

Meet E Wen Pin, class of 2017, graduated with a Bachelor of Multimedia (Hons) in Animation and Visual Effects. Currently working as a Visual Effects Compositor at TAU Films, Mr. Wen Pin was involved in various productions such as the “Crazy Alien”, a 2019 Chinese science-fiction comedy film directed by Ning Hao and “Primal”, a 2019 action-thriller film directed by Nick Powell and starring Nicolas Cage. His strength revolves around anything related to compositing, which includes roto scoping, roto painting, 3D integration, 2D elements and matte paint. Apart from that, he is also passionate in 3D modelling, sculpting and texturing. We at FCM wishes him a very good luck for all of his future endeavor’s!

Meet Ikhwan Nazri bin Mohd Asran, who graduated with a Bachelor of Multimedia (Hons) in Digital Media class of 2007. Mr. Ikhwan who was born and raised in Kuala Lumpur is definitely not a new face to the IT and Technology industry. As the CEO & Head of Amanz Media since 2011, his role is to oversee the creative productions as well as business operations of the company. Under his direction, Amanz Media has managed to build their online presence through www.amanz.my by providing news source for IT & Technology in Bahasa Melayu with over than 4.7 million pageviews per month (as of May 2020). Also an expert in digital media, Mr. Ikhwan was listed in Agensi Inovasi Malaysia for his creations such as the Officekami, a project that listed popular co-working spaces in Malaysia along with being a multidisciplinary producer. Aside from all of his amazing accomplishments, he seems to have a passion on matters related to games, start-ups, coffees and cats.

Meet Muhaimin bin Mahzan, our alumni who graduated with a Bachelor of Multimedia (Hons) in Virtual Reality class of 2017. Currently working at Todak Studios Sdn. Bhd. as Head of Level Design department, he is responsible in overseeing the overall process of designing and creating 3D environment for game’s level or maps. His recent works includes creating 3D environment for a game called “To-gather Island” (2019) – a collaboration between Todak Studios and Studio Kamii. His strong passion in gaming is what made him interested to further his studies in FCM, majoring in Virtual Reality. Now, he is one of Malaysia’s key players in the game development industry. All the best to Muhaimin and may he continue to produce more amazing games in the future!

Meet Cheah Yew Chung, also known as Cycom. A Bachelor of Multimedia (Hons) in Film and Animation graduate class of 2002, who is currently working as an Animation Supervisor at Giggle Garage Sdn. Bhd. His expertise includes design development based on local culture, where he helps the local animation industry develop new IPs and produce quality works. He is very passionate about the animation industry both locally and internationally, and has a high interest in improving the quality of the entertainment industry in Malaysia. For someone who has a working experience for more than 17 years in addition to holding a leadership position for more than 8 years, it is no doubt that Mr. Cycom is definitely an “otai” in the animation industry!

Meet Muhammad Asyraf bin Roslin, a recent graduate of Multimedia University class of 2018 with a Bachelor of Multimedia (Hons) in Media Arts. A Malaccan boy with a strong interest in business and entrepreneurship who decided to venture himself into the business industry by opening a café at Tampin, Melaka. As the co-owner of Hide or Out Café & Space, not only is he involved in managing the cafe but he is also the designer in charge of marketing and promotion. Besides the cafe, he also manages a company called Strategic Fire Safety which is known for supplying fire safety equipment. Our faculty has managed to produce many successful entrepreneurs and everything that our students learn during their study at FCM makes them well equipped with skills and knowledge to run a business.

Meet Muhammad Amir Hakim Bin Raslan, our recent addition to the MMU alumni who graduated with a Bachelor of Multimedia (Hons) in Animation and Visual Effects class of 2018. His involvement in the broadcasting and entertainment industry started when he joined Primeworks Studios Sdn. Bhd., a sister company of Media Prima Berhad (MPB) as Production Assistant. Later on, in his career, Mr. Amir Hakim managed to land a job at SAYS.com as a video editor, before getting promoted to Senior Video Editor at REV Media Group. At this moment, he is very much enjoying his full-time job as a video editor as he said it allows him do all the things he loves the most – videography, video editing and visual effects. All the best to Amir and may he continue to produce amazing contents!

Meet Siti Nuralifah bt. Mohd Yusoff, also known as Alifa Yusoff. She graduated from Multimedia University class of 2007 with a Bachelor of Multimedia (Hons) in Digital Media. Currently a full-time baker based in Damansara, Selangor, Ms. Alifa Yusoff used to be a Senior Web Designer cum Developer at Media Prima Berhad from the year 2007 until 2014, which she later retired to focus on her family and her own business. Her passion for baking has led her on to a new journey as a work-from-home mom as she further grows and becomes serious in the bakery business, meanwhile still accepting web development jobs, which she is also an expert on. Her expertise ranges from front-end development (HTML & CSS) & multimedia design to baking all sorts of pastries & bread. On top of that, Ms. Alifa Yusoff is also an active Norwex Consultant. Talk about multi-tasking! You can do anything as long as you have the passion, the focus, and the support. We from FCM would like to wish the best of luck to Ms. Alifa on her business @da.pour_
